Our mill produces a wide variety of wool and wool blend rovings.   We primarily use a blend of alpaca, short wool such as cormo, polypay, tunis, or corriedale, and long wool such as borderleister, coopworth, or wensleydale. The result is roving and/or pre-felts that are easy to work with and a dream to wear when knitted, felted, or woven.    You know how people always say they can't wear wool because it's scratchy?  Not ours!

     All our rovings are washed, hand-dyed, blended,  and then carded, using no harsh chemicals.   Since each lot is hand crafted, there may be slight variations in color. Our  rovings are blended with alpaca as well, and may sometimes have silk or mohair added too.  Check for specific fiber content by clicking on the photo of the color you're interested in.  We recommend you order 8 oz. more than what you expect to use in order to ensure consistency of color and blend in your finished product.  Unless otherwise noted, all rovings are sold in 8 oz. balls.
