A FULL 50% ALPACA! WOWOWOW!

Heathery tones of orchid, lavender, sky blue, and dove grey stream and blend together to make this "dreamy" roving!
DREAM is loaded with soft and cozy fibers--- 50% alpaca(!), 20% polypay wool,  and 30% tunis wool. It spins and felts easily and is wonderful to work with. Team  DREAM up with purple, khaki, gray, white, jeans, blue, navy, or black outfits--- it will perk up your colors nicely! Can't you just see knitting a lace shawl from  DREAM? Or how about felting a bag from  DREAM?

Why don't we use merino?  Isn't it supposed to be the "best"? I don't use merino wool.  I think it shrinks way too much and is difficult to work with, especially for spinners.. Instead, I use two other wools.  Each roving is a blend of polypay wool, tunis wool, and alpaca.  Polypay wool is much like merino in that it's super crimpy and soft, but the fiber length is much longer.  Then I also use tunis wool, an ancient breed that resembles borderleister wool. It is creamy white, extremely soft, lustrous, wavy, and semi-long.  And then there's the alpaca.  No need to say much about alpaca, except that it's as soft as a cloud!

We support local, small shepherds in Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Indiana, and Wisconsin.  We skirt each and every fleece by ourselves, ensuring the best quality fiber that we can find.  No harsh chemicals are used when scouring either--- just biodegradable stuff that we don't mind going into our ground water.  After all--this farm is where we live too!

All our rovings here at JJFARM are hand-washed, hand-dyed a pound at a time; picked and carded on our own mill equipment too. No harsh chemicals are used to scour the wool, hence no prickles from bleach and chemical reactions! We put pride and a lot of hard work into making the softest fiber blends we can, making sure that EACH and every fleece we pick and skirt by hand is of the utmost softness. We strive to make high quality, fantastically soft, spinning and felting fibers that are still affordable to our customers. That's our goal!

We hope that you will also take the time to look at our other rovings and products on our EBAY STORE, ETSY STORE, and FACEBOOK, all under: jehovahjirehfarm. Have a good time looking, and happy shopping. (Jehovah Jireh Farm Woolmill).
